It’s been a long time in the works but I still can’t believe we are having a baby. From time to time, I forget until I look down at my growing baby bump. Baby M is due at the beginning of December and we can’t wait to meet him/her. 

We are so happy and grateful for all the wonderful messages we received on our big announcement on social media in July. Everyone has been so kind and just lovely.

This post was probably by far one of the most difficult ones for me to write as I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to share and if I did, how much I wanted to share. So I’ve decided I will share how I told hubby that we were having a baby.

THE REVEAL

Even before I was pregnant, I had thought about doing something big and elaborate for him to surprise him. It’s the way I am!  We had talked about it from time to time and he had told me not to do that and to just tell him. Looking at the calendar, we had calculated which day to test but it was so hard not to test all the days leading up to that date. 

It was a Saturday morning and I think I woke up around 7 am and turned to him and said this is the day! I had a Clear Blue test ready along with one from the dollar store. At that point, I needed to know which way this was going. So without hesitation– I took the test and left it in the bathroom. Didn’t say anything to him and crawled back into bed. He asked me what happened and I said go look yourself.   He went to look and I heard his excitement. It was simple and just right for us!

I know a lot of friends/co-workers/family members who have and are struggling with fertility.  It’s a journey that is different for each couple. Our hope for everyone is that they remain strong and one day it happens for them too.  Sending lots of love and good vibes to everyone!
