Pregnant – check! Due Date – check! Now what? This is where hubby and I sat for the longest time. And by long time I mean close to 5 months. As first time parents, we didn’t know what we needed for Baby M or where we should go to get those “items.” We also didn’t want to feel pressured to buy on our first visit. My plan was to pick one department, get some information and leave. It didn’t quite go like that. Our in store-expert spent over two hours with us walking through the various departments and explaining to us what was truly essential for the first few months and what we needed after that. She took the time to go through the various different brands with us and the pros and cons of each item. Who knew there were so many different types of bibs, soothers, diaper pails, swaddle blankets to choose from? I also appreciated how our expert checked-in with us to see whether we were going to fast and if we were overwhelmed. There was no pressure to buy whatsoever at that moment. It was all about sharing and educating us as first time parents. No question was too silly or dumb to ask and I had several.

Our second visit to buybuyBABY was even better than the first as I was ready to tackle the store and get our registry up-to-date. This time we had the pleasure of working with another in-store expert. Both were nothing short of amazing. We spent several hours walking through the store revisiting those same aisles, getting a different experts opinion, and using the fun scanner!

Each department also had a specialist that was there to explain and demonstrate how the products are to be used if we had further questions. We spoke to several specialists for strollers, car seats and mattresses.  We even had the opportunity to try on the Ergobaby carrier which we ended up purchasing.
