Hubby and I both knew that we wanted to find out the gender of Baby M. There was no way we could wait until his/her arrival. We were going to open the envelope ourselves but my sister was determined to have a gender reveal party for us. We are so grateful to her and our brother – in – law for convincing us to go that route and for making it such a wonderful afternoon.

Our gender reveal party was small with only our parents. My sister had arranged for all my favourites including the meal. Her biggest challenge was to not let the gender slip during the party no matter how much I tried to guess.  

My sister had organized some really fun games for us including whose baby would melt first, an egg cracking game and finally the popping of the balloon for the gender reveal. My hubby let me pop the balloon to find out the gender – A GIRL!!!! I will never forget the moment as we were so shocked! He told me he always knew but I thought otherwise.

Hubby and I didn’t realize what the fuss was with gender reveal parties but after having one, we understood. Thanks again to my sister for hosting and making it so memorable.

REVEAL

I knew I wanted to do something fun for our gender reveal photoshoot. We had our Babymoon planned for August so it naturally made sense for us to try and plan something around that. We had a two day stop in Paris and one of my favourite places is Palais Royal and so I knew that’s where I wanted to take our photos.

The search for a good photographer in Paris in August is no easy feat. Luckily, I came across The Parisian Photographer website and started a conversation with Marcus. He was AMAZING and I can’t recommend him enough. He made our photoshoot so fun and captured some really amazing shots of us and our gender reveal.

I truly am all about keepsakes and cherishing memories and so I’m glad we have all of these.
