Louis Vuitton Handbag: Neverfull Review

Louis Vuitton, LV Neverfull, Luxury Handbag

The Louis Vuitton Neverfull handbag was always on my wish list and a few years go my wish came true when I purchased it at the Louis Vuitton Maison Champs Élysées. With summer right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to invest in a new designer handbag and why not do it with the Louis Vuitton Neverfull?  LV is one of my favorite luxury brands ever since we visited Paris in the early 2000s. I knew that a LV would be my first designer handbag purchase. Louis Vuitton is such an iconic brand with an array of classic and functional handbags which are also durable.

What size do I have?

The Louis Vuitton Neverfull comes in PM, MM or GM. I tried the MM and GM but felt for everyday use, the MM suited my frame. The GM was very large and felt overwhelming for me. I would really suggest you consider the purpose of the handbag when determining which size to purchase. If my main purpose was for stylish carry on/over-night bag/gym/diaper then I would have definitely gone with the GM. In my mind, the MM is the prefect size for most people but I would recommend you visit your nearest LV boutique to try it on.

Neverfull MM – 31.0 x 28.5 x 17.0 cm (length x height x width)

Neverfull GM – 39.0 x 32.0 x 19.0 cm (length x height x width)

What Pattern Do I have?

The Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM comes in canvas in the Damier Azur, Damier Ebene and Monogram along wiht Epi leather and Epi leather denim. There is a substantial price difference between the materials but for me personally it was the canvas I was interested in.

I think the most difficult decision when purchasing a Louis Vuitton is deciding between the patterns as they’re all so lovely. For me it came down to, what would match majority of my outfits and be that timeless elegance. So, I chose the Damier Ebene and I’m so happy with it. Plus, I had purchased the LV Favorite in monogram so I didn’t want to repeat the pattern. Read my full review of LV Favorite, here.

The interior of the Neverfull can be either Cherry or Rose Ballerine. For me, the Cherry stood out more but both are very beautiful. The Neverfull also comes with a detachable zippered clutch that you can use as a pochette or interior pocket.

What do I carry in it?

The Neverfull MM fits all my essentials and more. I can put a laptop/ iPad, headphones, sun glasses snacks, etc. with ease.  It’s perfect for going to the office and then running errands on the weekend.

PROS:

-It really is the NEVERFULL bag. It can fit pretty much everything you need.

-Everything is easily visible inside the bag.

-Expandable. The handbag can be cinched in to make it more compact.

-It’s comfortable to wear, light weight and easy to style.

 CONS:

-Depending on what’s inside the bag, it can get very heavy.

-It’s not weather proof.

-It can get a bit messy inside the bag if storage bags/pouches are not used to keep items organized.

Is it worth the price and final recommendation?

On the Louis Vuitton Canadian website, the Neverfull MM retails for $1690 CAD. It is very steep for a tote, but if you’re looking to purchase a designer handbag that you’ll have in your closet for years to come, then this is the bag for you.  Things to keep in mind: consider what your main purpose is for the bag when selecting sizes, what pattern will match your style (though you can’t go wrong with any of them) and how it makes you feel. I love my Neverfull MM and I’m sure you will too.
