Beauty Review: Is a Silk Pillowcase worth it?

Silk Pillowcase

Earlier this month, I received the Silky beauty sleep pillowcase. I’ve wanted to try one of these for quite some time as I’ve heard many good things. Some of the benefits I’ve heard are that a silk pillowcase is better for hair and sleep. But is a silk pillowcase worth it? If so, what is the best pillowcase for hair? Silk or Satin? I mentioned to a friend that I received the pillowcase and she said she’s always wanted to try it out. This peaked my interest further.

Silky Beauty Sleep is a Canadian company and the founder, Cecil, is just the sweetest. When she had her first born, she started suffering from postpartum hair loss and this is when she discovered the benefits of silk pillowcases.

REVIEW:

The Silky pillowcase arrived in convenient packaging which would allow for me to take it on vacations if I wanted. I thought that feature was cool. I like how light and luxurious it feels to my skin. The Silky pillowcase is made from 100% mulberry silk which allows for natural cooling and for the skin to retain moisture. Other characteristics of the silk pillowcase include it dramatically reduces hair breakage, bed head and spilt ends. The Silky pillowcase is naturally hypoallergenic and is good for anti-aging.

COST & SELECTION:

The price for a silk pillowcase is $79.99 and there are three style options: black marble, white marble and white.

RECOMMENDATION:

I’ve used the silk pillowcase for two weeks and I’m finding my skin is less dry and my head feels cooler at night. I am hoping to have less split ends but that might be harder to gauge with the hot tools that I use.  In my opinion, the Silky beauty sleep pillowcase is definitely worth a try.
