My hubby and I have been in search for a good mattress for quite some time. I had read amazing reviews about the Douglas Mattress by GoodMorning.com and was super excited to try it out!

Who is Goodmorning.com?
GoodMorning.com is Canada’s largest independent online mattress retailers and the parent company to seven other brands such as Douglas, Logan & Cove, etc. The company was founded in 2009 under the name Novosbed Inc by a family of siblings.
Did you know that as the inventor of the 120-night-in-home sleep trial, GoodMorning.com proudly offers a 15 year warranty, free shipping, free returns and a mattress donation program? This in itself is a great opportunity to try the Douglas mattress. There really is no reason not too.
The Douglas brand was launched in 2017 and has quickly grown to be one of Canada’s highest rated foam mattresses. With all of the recent world events, I feel it’s important to help local and Canadian companies as much as possible and Douglas does just that. They source from Canadian suppliers and each product is made to order in Ontario, Canada.
How is the Douglas constructed?
The Douglas mattress has three layers of high quality eco-foam which provides active cooling, the perfect bounce and balanced pressure relief. The moment we put our heads on the bed we were sold. I don’t know how to describe it except it feels like the mattress is hugging us. Hubby mentioned to me that he could feel the coolness of the mattress almost immediately. All wins!
Douglas mattresses are also constructed with environmentally friendly eco-conscious foams and fabrics. In addition, the mattress is delivered in a recycled box using recycled ink.
So what’s the price point?
The Douglas is very competitive and starts at C$599. I believe this is a great pricing point for such an amazing mattress. After all, we can’t put a price on good sleep.
What happens after I order the mattress?
As mentioned above, Douglas offers a 120- night- trial, the longest available in Canada. This means 120 amazing sleeps on a Made in Canada with CertiPur-US® foam mattress. We slept on the mattress the very first night as soon as we rolled it out.
Douglas does understand that it might take some time to adjust to the new mattress so between nights 1-30, they’ve termed that the break in period. After that, if one is unsatisfied at any point up to night 120, Douglas will pick up the mattress free of charge and donate it to a charity or recycling partner while issuing you a refund.
Douglas also offers a 15 year warranty provided the correct base is used. They offer a detailed description of compatible bases on their website.

The Douglas arrived at our door step in a box. We brought it to our room and opened the box. The mattress is in a vacuum packed bag. We placed the mattress on the foundation and removed the plastic. It took about 30 minutes or so for it to decompress. It really was as simple as that. I was a bit nervous as we’ve never purchased a mattress like this before but seeing is believing and it was super easy! The pillows came exactly like that as well.
My thoughts…
So we’ve had the mattress for just over a week now and we really do like it. It’s cooling properties as well as firmness matches what we like in our mattress. No more complaints from either one of us. Our baby loves the mattress too.
I’ve read several reviews on the Goodmorning.com website and the Douglas has a rating of 4.7 with 7808 reviews. I think that’s fantastic and speaks to their product.

There are so many mattress companies that I don’t think I could possibly keep up anymore haha! But this one does sound fantastic.
