This beautiful gothic cathedral stands in the middle of the city and can be seen from pretty much ever corner. We found it to be a gathering place of sorts similar to the many squares in Spain. It\u2019s an office building across the Rhine and costs 3 euros to get to the top. We didn\u2019t go to the Triangle as we thought the view from across the bridge was amazing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SchilderGrasse<\/strong>&#8211; this is the shopping district you don\u2019t want to miss! one of the busiest stations I\u2019ve been too but it has a variety of shops and restaurants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color:#fcb900\" class=\"tadv-color\">EATS:<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Merzenich (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.merzenich.net\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Merzenich<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; one of the most popular bakeries in&nbsp;Cologne. We tried the pound marble cake and it was divine. It\u2019s worth it!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And for my sweet tooth friends, there are tones of gelato places along the streets but we really enjoyed Eis Cafe Breda. We tried the Vanilla Spaghetti ice cream and it was very sweet. We noticed the people in Cologne\u00a0love their desserts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color:#fcb900\" class=\"tadv-color\">ACCOMODATION:<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We stayed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marriott.com\/hotels\/travel\/cgnmc-cologne-marriott-hotel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Marriott K\u00f6ln (opens in a new tab)\">Marriott K\u00f6ln<\/a> and it was great. We had a very spacious room and it was within walking distance to all the sites. If you\u2019re staying at the Marriott, ask about their executive lounge which provides breakfast and dinner options along with a complimentary bar.
