C\u00f3rdoba<\/span> is a beautiful city in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia and the capital of the province of C\u00f3rdoba.\u00a0 <\/span>We had heard that visiting the city was a must do because of the Mosque of C\u00f3rdoba<\/span>. We didn\u2019t hear wrong. We planned our visit as part of our stay in Seville.<\/span><\/p>\n

Travelling in Spain is so easy with RENFE<\/a><\/span>. We took the train from Santa Justa train station in Seville and in under an hour we were in C\u00f3rdoba.\u00a0 <\/span>Our tickets were purchased the same day from the train station. If you do decide to do this, check the train schedule beforehand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are big fans of walking tours so we had booked a tour with Francisco from Seville Free Tours<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> He provided us a wealth of knowledge \u2013 highly recommend his tour company.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mosque of C\u00f3rdoba<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n

Also known as the Great Mosque of C\u00f3rdoba is one of the most unique religious sites that<\/span> I\u2019ve seen across Europe.\u00a0 <\/span>The mosque was commissioned in 784 by then rulers Abd al-Rahman. In 1236 during the Reconquista, it was converted to a Roman Catholic Church. Both types of architecture are clearly visible. TRULY A MUST SEE!<\/span><\/p>\n
